Discovery of an O III Envelope Extending around NGC 2818A.

McCOMISKEY M.A.

Abstract (from CDS):

NGC 2818A is one of only a handful of planetary nebulae to have an established association with a galactic star cluster. Such associations allow a highly accurate determination of the distance and thus other physical characteristics of the planetary nebulae, making them particularly interesting subjects for study. This paper discusses the discovery of an expansive O III envelope surrounding NGC 2818A.
